Buffalo Bills Pre-Season Preview
By Pat Freeman, The Mighty O’Ba
The coaching staff of the Buffalo Bills have three games to base this year’s team roster on. There are many returning players who I think will have breakout years. Below I will submit a list of players that I think are going to turn heads as our pre-season schedule begins. The only purpose of the preseason is evaluation, evaluation.
Offensive line – Richard Gourage has been turning heads in training camp and could push for time.
Sedrick Van Pran – Granger is a Brandon Beane steal who in time could be a difference maker.
La’el Collins is not healthy enough to make this football team and will be released,
Wide Receiver – Love this group but the guy who will not make this roster will be Marquez Valdez -Scantling.
Edge Greg Rousseau, AJ Espenesa, Dawuane Smoot, David Ugwoegbu.
Linebackers are a bit small, and health will be a factor with this unit this year.
Tight Ends could be the best unit in the NFL. Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, and Quinton Morris.
Running Backs – James Cook is ready for a super year. The offense must utilize the running back position more in the passing game.
Defensive Tackle – Ed Oliver is on a mission along with Daquan Jones. Keep an eye on rookie Dewayne Carter. Health is always such a factor at every position, especially in the trenches.
Defensive Backs – Look for the break of Kaiir Elam, Rasul Douglass, Christian Benford, and Taron Johnson.
The greatest factor in the NFL is still health and will always be health. The healthiest teams are going to be the contenders in January.
