Zeal Talk Report with JGILLZ: Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Holds Global Youth Football Camp in Rochester, NY

Last weekend boasted numerous activities for the City of Rochester. Father’s Day and Juneteenth head lined the packed weekend, but Tyreek Hill’s Youth and Speed camp was an electrifying scene for Down town Rochester NY.

The camp was hosted by Roch ester City School District’s James Monroe High School. Monroe is lo cated in the heart of the City and was been recently renovated, boast ing some of the best equipment and football field in the state of NY. The camp was originally soused to take place in suburban East Rochester High School, but was changed just a couple of weeks before the event.

After speaking with James Mon roe High School Principal Jason Muhammad his response for the change was “because we’re dope”. The motto has been used by Principal Muhammad during his tenure as principal and truly as transformed the culture of Monroe high School.

The camp consisted of several drills, races, one on one matches, and a media day for the youth in attendance, allowing them to ask Hill questions regarding his life and career. Once the camp commenced, Hill spent the rest of his time sign ing items for each child, and par ent in attendance.

Hill’s youth camp is operated by Hill, his wife, grandmother, grand father, sisters, and other family members. Hill was raised by his grandmother and grandfather and holds his family to the highest regard. One of Hill’s greatest accomplishments is being a father.

When asked about being a father Hill stated “It means a lot, I’m very excited but I’ll be in Albany. When I get home I’ll have a chance to spend time with my kiddos”. Hill was in Albany on Father’s Day with his family putting on another one of his Youth Football Camps.
