The Mighty O’Ba Sports Report: The Bills Are In!!!!
By Pat Freeman, The Mighty O’Ba
The Buffalo Bills finally rectified some of their early losses, and have won the AFC East by defeating the Miami Dolphin team that came into this game with some critical injuries.
The reason I felt the Bills could win was based on health, but I knew this battle assessed team would give an earnest effort.
The one thing you must give this team credit for is that they can play with any franchise in this league. The Bills are in the best position to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl since 2000. The most distressing injury that occurred during this game was Rasul Douglass, who I believe was the second half defensive MVP. This was just a good win for a battle assessed unit that has been in every game this season. When you are in every game, it usually comes down to the Bills all year.
This version of the Bills has beaten themselves all year, and now they have a chance to challenge for the Championship. The Bills now host a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who will be another tough test. The one thing you know is the Mike Tomlin team makes a full effort no matter what. They also will come with a power football mentality, but could be without all pro edge rusher TJ Watt, who suffered a knee injury vs. the Ravens last week.
If the Bills can sure up a few areas, especially on the defensive side of the ball, this could be one of those games. Health will be the greatest determination of how far the franchise can go.
