Buffalo Bills Have Some Tough Decisions
The hometown team has some tough decisions to make in this off season beginning with running back James Cook who is requesting a huge pay increase, of which he deserves. I do not think he should receive it from the Buffalo Bills as a franchise. The Bills are not that committed to the run to pay a running back top three pay in the league. Truly some of you that are saying pay the man do not understand the salary cap. Every player in this league deserves the maximum pay that they can command but sometimes it must come from another organization. The other factor to consider is that this is an excellent group of running backs coming out of the draft who could give you another 3-4 years on a rookie contract.
It is my belief that James Cook will be traded for additional draft capital and hopefully to a team that will pay him the salary he is demanding, I do not believe it will be Buffalo Bills. The team has some tough decisions to make on the defensive side of the ball which could be solved by adjusting the existing roster. First, I would move Dorian Williams and Terel Bernard to Safety and draft two stud linebackers and bring back Matt Milano. Both players can play safely in this defense but are too small to be linebackers. Also, Kair Elam has not fit in at all in this defense and needs to be let go along with Rasul Douglass, AJ Epenesa, and Von Miller. If the Bills think out of the box and make these changes next year could be one of great anticipation
