This week, the hometown team takes on another AFC East rival, the New England Patriots in Foxboro Massachusetts. This time will be a little bit more challenging to the hometown team because last Sunday night, Brian Daboll and the New York Giants put together an excellent game plan to slow down our offense, which was previously scoring at will against most opponents.

The Giants coach designed a scheme that slowed down our offense and almost put together a nationally televised upset that came down to a controversial final play. The question is how Ken Dorsey will respond because the NFL is a copycat league and I guarantee Bill Belichick, who previously came up with the defensive scheme to slow down the no huddle offense and Doug Flutie, will probably implore a similar defense to frustrate Josh Allen. The Bills Offensive staff will have to come up with an answer because there is no one better at putting together a game strategy than Belichick.

One thing the Bills must continue to do is run the football and stop going away from it for extended periods during the games. The Giants have given the rest of the league a game plan to stop Josh Allen, whose ability to extend plays especially on third down has been a major problem during his career. One other problem going into this game is again, the health of this team, which again continues to take some hits on both sides of the ball. This is why the NFL is a week-to-week league heavily influenced by the injury status of your franchise.

The best way to offset these schemes designed at boxing in Josh Allen is to run the football and put Josh under center more, which will open play action. Pistol formations are good, but not as effective for play action when the quarterback is under center.

The final factor that is hurting this franchise is their own success, which they have played multiple games already before the national stage, which includes overseas and night games, only benefit the owners because football players, creatures of habit and try to duplicate their preparation each week, a little hard to do coming back from London for a Sunday night game, followed by a 1p.m. contest, and then back at home on Thursday night
