Bill’s Defensive End Shaq Lawson & Mercedes Wilson Visit Jefferson Ave. Tops for Meet & Greet

Tops Friendly Markets is excited to welcome Bill’s Defensive End, Shaq Lawson, and local food entrepreneur, Mercedes Wilson, for a meet and greet and product tasting event on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Jefferson Avenue Tops location (1275 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo). This event will take place from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Shaq is excited to engage with the community, sign autographs, and take photos.

Tops to check in on everyone including the staff, who is often overlooked,” said Shaq. “I look forward connecting with my friend Mercedes to sample some Sadie’s Relish and interacting with everyone from the community and the staff. I like to have fun with everything that I do, so this will be no different… I may even have a surprise or two.”

Mercedes Wilson, owner of Sadie’s Relish, will also be on hand for a tasting of her delicious relish, a family inspired recipe she brought to life and to Tops shelves in 2022. Inspired by her grandma Grace’s “Cha-Cha” recipe, you will often find Sadie cooking side by side with her father, and rest of her family, incorporating her recipe in everything from breakfast staples like eggs to side dishes and others such as, ribs, chicken, on scallops and tacos! From backyard BBQs to brunch, Sadie’s Relish - both mild and hot, will give your dishes an extra kick.
