Buffalo Bills Riding High Going into Bye Week

Buffalo Bills Coach Sean McDermott

The Buffalo Bills go into the bye week riding high after defeating the previously unbeaten champions Kansas City Chiefs by the score of 30-21. During the McDermott/Beane era they have beaten the Chiefs during the regular season but have lost to them on three occasions. Many of the faithful fans have mentioned that Sean McDermott at times should be fired.  Unfortunately, these are the perils of being a head football coach in the NFL. It is the one league that you are truly only as good as your last game. This past Sunday was the ninth win of the season for the Buffalo Bills guaranteeing Sean McDermott his seventh winning season in 8 years with a powerful grip on the AFC east and vying for homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Most people do realize that the entire football operation is run by Sean McDermott , he brought in and put together this entire operation eight years ago. That is a tremendous accomplishment for what he inherited when he got here eight years ago. This franchise had not made the playoffs in 17 years but since his arrival the hometown team has made the playoffs six out of seven years and are on their way to the playoffs again. Also, the value of the franchise has increased from nine hundred million to 4.2 billion and a new stadium is scheduled to open in 2026. How quickly fans forget these things because they want to be called champion but if I were the owner of this franchise, I would try to extend the entire operation including the mascot.
