Colvin Cleaners Coats 4 Kids Program Answers Call from St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy’s Need for Winter Coats

St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, which has been providing free food and clothing to people in need in the community for more than 29 years, put out a call last week for winter coats for adults and kids of all ages and sizes, along with winter accessories. They have a shopping mall open in their school building on Tuesday nights and Wednesday morning for people to select coats and clothing. This delivery came in time for its distribution (Tues., Nov. 28th) . Now that the weather has changed, the need for warm clothing is real for their clients.

In addition, St. Luke’s distributes more than 2,000 hot meals daily to 1,000 visitors every day. St. Luke’s is also in need of financial support and volunteers. For more information, visit www.stlukesmission ofmercy.org.

“We have always been there to support St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy so when we heard of this immediate need we are able to use our recent donations to put together a truckload of items for them on Tuesday,” said Christopher Billoni, Vice President of Colvin Cleaners.

The Coats 4 Kids program, supported by The Allstate Foundation, remains in need of donations. They can also be made at Colvin Cleaners, 2375 Elmwood Avenue, Kenmore, many local Allstate Insurance agencies and two Reeds Jenss locations.
