The E.C. (NY) Chapter of the Link. Inc. Will Hold a Wellness Expos to Support National Black Family Wellness Effort

The Erie County (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will hold a Black Family Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 16th, from 10-1 p.m., at the Say Yes Saturday Academy at School #99 Makowski, 1095 Jefferson Ave., in an effort to reduce health and economic disparities and to save and improve lives in the Black community. This effort in Erie County, NY, Buffalo, is aimed at addressing a variety of heath disparities that negatively impact the health and quality of life for many in this community.

The local event is a part of The Links, Inc.’s nationwide Black Family Wellness Expos being held across the country on March 16th, which aims to leverage its entire membership in the effort to improve outcomes for Black families.

The event contributes to The Links National Wellness Expos effort to raise awareness about conditions that shorten or impact the quality of life for those in the Black community.

The entire Black family is included, from infant to senior citizen. Some of the issues the Health Program will address include: dental health using Black Men (Dentists) in White Coats, voter registration and voting information women’s health, heart health, social service resources, mental health awareness, maternal health and resources and more.
