Upward Bound Honorees

The Buffalo State University of New York, 1300 Elmwood, presented its Upward Bound Awards Banquet August 8th. The Banquet Highlights were the Dr. Hal Payne Educational Opportunity Lifetime Service and Student Scholarship Awards presentations, along with awards presented to students resident coordinators and facility.

Fajri Ansari received the Dr. Hal Payne Lifetime Service Award and Win Tun Oo, was the 2024 Dr. Hal Payne Student Scholarship Awardee. Carubba and Company sponsored the Student Scholarship Award. Presentations were made by NYS Governor Kathy Hochel, Congressman Tim Kennedy and Mayor Byron Brown.
