The International Institute of Buffalo Seeks Trivia Enthusiasts for Community World Trivia Competition
The team registration deadline is Friday, April 26
With the slogan, “Think globally, quiz locally,” the International Institute of Buffalo (IIB) seeks participants for Community World Trivia 2024- A Global Knowledge Contest. Community World Trivia is an evening of fun fueled by some friendly competition. Businesses, schools, and service providers from across the region send teams of six to compete for the coveted title of “Buffalo’s Most Globally Smart.”
The Community World Trivia Competition will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Roswell Park’s Research Studies Center, Gaylord Cary Conference Room on Elm and Carlton Streets in Buffalo.
A table for a team of six trivia players is only $240. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the competition.
“Community World Trivia is a fantastic night of global trivia and laughs,” said Jennifer Rizzo-Choi, executive director of the International Institute of Buffalo. “Teams should sign up! It’s fun and educational, but it also raises essential funds for our education mission.”
Proceeds from this event fund vital global education programs for students, such as Mode United Nations, Global Kids, and other global education and community programs, such as cultural competency training and IIB’s community lectures. These programs bring global perspectives to Western New York, educate people about global affairs, and help the region become more culturally sensitive.
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and Rigidized Metals provide sponsorship for Community World Trivia.
