Nominations Sought for PWOF Awards
First Shiloh Baptist Church invites you to participate in the nomination process for the prestigious Purposeful Women of Faith Awards (PWOF).
The Purposeful Women of Faith recognizes women who play major roles within faith communities. They serve as clergy, administrators, ministry leaders, and work with several faith organizations within the community. Women are also active in the wider community, as community leaders, operating businesses, politicians, financial managers, and leading not-for-profit agencies. These women support, mentor and inspire others whether at work, faith communities or in the home.
Since 2018, First Shiloh Baptist Church, Women’s Fellowship Ministry has recognized and celebrated 60+ women for their achievements across denominations who are making an impact in Western New York.
The PWOF believes that within your networks and sphere of influence, there are exceptional women who deserve to be acknowledged for their exemplary achievements. We invite you to nominate a woman in ONE of the following categories who exemplify the characteristics of a Purposeful Woman of Faith. Nomination forms are due on Friday, March 8, 2024.
PWOF recipients will be notified by April 1, 2024. PWOF recipients will be recognized on Saturday, September 28th at a breakfast program at Aqua Restaurant at 9:00 am. Guests may attend the breakfast for a donation of $35.00. As seating is limited, reservation and payment are required by Friday, June 7, 2024. The cost will be $40.00 after June 8th. Checks should be made payable to First Shiloh Baptist Church, 15 Pine Street, Buffalo, NY 14204.
The Purposeful Women of Faith Awards creates an environment within our community where the stories of women in ministry can be shared and celebrated. With that in mind, we encourage all nominators to share the profile that is written with the woman who has been nominated and to celebrate her and her ministry in your group and/or congregation.
