Retirement of Henry Jackson Deputy Commissioner of Public Works

Criterion Columnist Eva M. Doyle would like to congratulate Mr. Henry Jackson on his retirement as Deputy Commissioner for Public Works in the Streets Sanitation Department for the city of Buffalo. Mr. Jackson is retiring after 41 years of service. He started in the engineering department for the city.

Columnist Eva M. Doyle stated that: “Mr. Jackson was a dedicated worker. He was always very friendly whenever I spoke to him. He set high standards for those who will follow him.

Mr. Jackson described his job from when he started with the city on Mayor Byron Brown’s radio show several weeks ago. Mayor Brown complimented him on his work and thanked him for his service to our city.”

Mrs. Doyle would like to wish Mr. Jackson well on his future endeavors. He set high standards on his job. He will certainly be missed and hard to replace.”
