Annual Appeal Continues Through June 30; Now at 52% of $8.5 Million Goal

HOPE Day 2025, the annual 24-hour match challenge day of giving, raised a record-breaking $516,124 in support of Appeal 2025, benefiting Catholic Charities of Buffalo and the Fund for the Faith. The event, held on March 19, included $111,000 in matching funds generously provided by OneBridge Benefits, EnergyMark, LLC, Tops Friendly Markets, Uniland Development Company, Catholic Health, Abbey Mecca, and Independent Health.

Throughout the Appeal, every dollar counts toward providing HOPE to a neighbor in need," said Deacon Steve Schumer, president and CEO of Catholic Charities. “Whether we’re serving a young family struggling with behavioral issues in Niagara County, an older adult in need of emergency assistance in Batavia, or a mother and child visiting one of our food pantries in Erie County, we are able to provide HOPE to all— thanks to the generosity of our community. Your support allows Catholic Charities to continue offering these vital programs and services. Thank you for making HOPE Day 2025 a record-breaking success!”

The Annual Appeal supports more than 50 programs and services administered by Catholic Charities, along with several ministries funded through the Fund for the Faith. Last year, Catholic Charities provided assistance to more than 147,000 individuals, families, and children of all faiths across Western New York’s eight counties.
