Holiday Schedule for City of Buffalo Garbage & Recycling Pickups Delayed for Christmas and New Year’s Week

City of Buffalo officials announced that garbage and recycling pickups in the City of Buffalo will be delayed by one day for some City of Buffalo residents during Christmas and New Year’s week this year because both holidays fall on a weekday.

There will be no collections on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, or Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

If your collection day falls on those holidays, pickup will be delayed by one day. Pickups will resume on Thursday with collections regularly scheduled on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday taking place one day later than usual during those two weeks. Friday pickups will be done on Saturday.
