Willie A. Price, Head Coach and Founder of the Niagara Falls Track & Field Club

Congratulations to Willie A. Price, Head Coach and Founder of the Niagara Falls Track & Field Club. Coach Price is a graduate of Riverside HS where he ran track and played football. He went on to the University at Buffalo where he ran track for the university, qualifying for the NCAA Nationals, breaking and setting several school records from the 50m-400m and long jump, indoors and outdoors.

On June 22, 2024, Coach Price competed in the USATF: Niagara Masters & Open Track & Field Championships in Rochester, NY. He had not competed in a track and field meet since 2018. Coach Price became the USATF: Niagara (60-64 Age Group) Champion in the 100m and the Long Jump and took 2nd place in the Javelin Throw with a personal best of 81’2”. This was coach Prices first time competing in the javelin throw, an event he took up last month and started teaching his youth in 2021.

Coach Price had promised his Niagara track & Field Club youth last summer that he would compete with in the meet which is also held for the Junior Olympics. The Niagara Track & Field Club has had a very successful 2024 with 15 former, present and consulted youth qualifying for the Section 6 Track & Field Championships and broke several school records. 7 of those youth won the sectionals and went on to compete in the NYSPHS Track and Field Championships.

Since 2017, Coach Price and Niagara Track and Field Club has helped develop more than 50 Section 6 qualifiers, more than 10 school records, about 20 Section 6 Champions, 10 Empire State Game champions, 10+ Junior Olympic Champions, 1 Jamaican Olympic trials qualifier,

2 USATF Masters Champions and 1 USATF National Masters Champion.
