2024 Women of Color Summit Will Continue With Virtual Professional Development Series

Eleversity, the workforce education inclusion division of Heritage Christian Services, will present the virtual series portion of the Women of Color Summit this month. Virtual sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 18 and Thursday, July 25 with the theme of R. I. S. E - “Recognizing Our Influence, Success and Essence: Why We Matter.” Both days will include keynote speakers, panel discussions and workshop.

Featured speakers include Maria Cruz, senior director of equity and inclusion at Evergreen Health and president of the Hispanic Women’s League of Buffalo, and Fatimat O. Reid, the first African American woman ever to serve on Monroe County Family Court.

Featured panelists include Dr. Tiera Proctor, director of pharmacy services at Trillium Health in Rochester, and Latrice Gray, relationship officer at KeyBank in Buffalo.

This year’s conference aims to leverage the collective influence, successes and essence of its attendees, with the goal of creating a unified space of liberation, relatable stories and opportunities for development. The summit is designed to equip attendees with tools that will allow them to navigate different areas of the workplace, including career goals, performance, relationships, growth opportunities, challenges and more.

Sponsoring support comes from the Greater Rochester Health Foundation, KeyBank, Erie County Commission on the Status of Women, Mower, Wegmans, Paychex, St. John Fisher University Executive Leadership Program and a host of other organizations.
