Retirement Celebration Set for May 31st

The Calvary Baptist Church located at 1184 Genesee St. Buffalo, NY, is inviting the community to come out an help Deacon Frazer (Tom) Smith retire from serving as the Minister of Music. Mr. Smith served as the musician for over 65 years at Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Smith has played for many choirs and groups throughout the city and the United States. He is very active in his church, serving as a Deacon, a Trustee, Superintendent of Sunday School, and Choir Director.

For many years, he served as the musician for the City Wide Choir, Sister Bessie Patterson and friends, the Oldies But Goodies, and African American Cultural Center, just to name a few. The celebration will begin on Friday, May 31st with a reunion choir concert. A banquet will take place on Saturday, June 1st.
