“Can We Talk ?”

By Tisha Burgos

Due to a couple of unforeseen circumstances, I will be taking some personal time. A few weeks ago I was approached by a couple readers who told me they really enjoyed reading my articles. I was happy to hear that it touched people and they were readers. When I write, I follow no system. I simply bring you articles from my heart. I write out of love. Love for people. My column is featured here twice a month. The blessing from that being brought into fruition is my step grandmother, Dr. Eva M. Doyle and the undying hearts of the Merriweathers.

Recently I lost my grandmother, Agnes Marie Savage, right before my eyes. I thought that with all I knew about natural health I would help her overcome. As I watched her throughout the night with my chair alongside her medical bed, I’d read verses, even chapters from the Bible to her. Because she had become nonverbal, she would nudge her yes or no with her head or eyebrows. I’d say okay granny, do you want me to stop reading? She’d shake her head no. Therefore, I kept reading. Her message to me was read. Read, study, and apply that book so in rough times I am comforted.

As I mourn and celebrate her life. I look forward to bringing you more information. Future articles include interviews with Dr. Silvia M Lloyd, news anchor Claudine Ewing, Actor Jon Cesar, Rapp Stars, and Comedians. My message to the the world is love on one another as much as possible now, because tomorrow is not promised.
