Black Achievers, Inc. is proud to announce, in addition to its previous list of its 2024 Special Awardees, the Hon. Hakeem Jefferies, Democratic Leader in the United States House of Representatives, received the Black Achievers Award of Excellence. Rep. Jeffries was unanimously elected as the Democratic Leader by his colleagues in November 2022. In that capacity, he is the highest-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives.

Rep. Jeffries took time out of his busy schedule to make an appearance at the 52nd Annual Black Achievers Awards Gala, which was held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Buffalo Convention Center. According to Black Achievers CEO Herbert L. Bellamy, Jr., “We want to recognize Rep. Jeffries for his leadership and tireless efforts to advocate for social and economic justice
