Attorney General James Releases Statement on MSG Networks and Optimum Negotiations
New York Attorney General Letitia James today released the following statement regarding the ongoing contract negotiations between MSG Networks and Altice, the parent company of Optimum:
"As two major corporations engage in contract talks, it is the everyday New Yorkers who are being impacted the most —those who simply want to watch sports and enjoy television programming. Altice, which owns Optimum, and MSG Networks, which provides coverage for some of New York’s favorite sports teams, are struggling to reach a final agreement. As a result, consumers who expect the programming and games they have paid for are left without.”
"I will be closely monitoring this situation to ensure that New York customers receive the services they have paid for. I urge both companies to come together and reach a fair, final agreement, so New Yorkers can return to supporting their home teams.”
