The Buffalo Bills clinched the AFC East with five games remaining on the current schedule. They are the first franchise to clinch their division this season and now are competing for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. This season is so much different than others in Coach McDermott’s tenure and could be the year that the Bills get back to the Superbowl. This could be the most balanced team that I have seen in the last eight years under McDermott/Beane. The strength of this team starts with the offensive line led by Pro Bowler Dion Dawkins who has been dominant this entire season.

Curtis Samuel #4 Khalid Shakir #10

This team is more cohesive than many of the previous ones over the last eight seasons and believe me they are once again in the running to win a championship again. I think Coach McDermott does not get enough credit for being a fierce competitor and producing a winning attitude in Western New York. It had been a long time waiting to get that feeling back that this team could win any game that they are playing, many around the league are saying this about the 2024-2025 Bills season. One luxury they have moving forward is to now compete for homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Truly this could be the team that could return to the Super Bowl in New Orleans which will be my 25 th Super Bowl which I have covered and let us hope it will be the one the hometown team brings home the ultimate prize.
