Who Ignited the Viral Attention to Buffalo Bills Rookie Wide-Out Keon Coleman?

By Pat Freeman, The Mighty O’Ba

Keon Coleman

The truth be told, the Bills had not only targeted the new receiver, Keon Carpenter in the draft, but long before leading up to the NFL combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is where WUFO Sports Director Muki Hawkins began his re search on this young man and had determined this is who the Buffalo Bills were going to select in the draft.

The Bills just needed our area credentialed media present to ask the right questions to start this young man’s viral tidal wave. That question came from Coach Muki Hawkins, who for years has coached and trained our youth in the sport we call American football. This list includes Super Bowl champions Corey Graham and Steven Means. Only a sports journalist with a similar back ground can identify with these young stars because the follow-up question from a Buffalo News reporter had no significance whatsoever.

Muki Hawkins

But why do we once again see another member of the Black media not given the credit or accolades that go along with doing a professional job that separates you from the rest? This is why I wrote to Commissioner Roger Goodell and all franchise owners that the greatest in vestment they could make is to invest $1 million in each franchise region for Black media. The Buffalo Bills and the NFL are about to hit the cash register in Keon Coleman, but it was Muki Hawkins who understood what to ask and how to pursue the question that introduced Keon Coleman to the world. He deserves his just due and all the benefits that go along with this achievement.

The Mighty O’Ba, Pat Freeman, wanted you to know that we must continue to make the demand for fairness in sponsorship dollars, but it begins with the professional franchise right here, which continues to only afford Black media crumbs.
