Adam Nunes Buffalo South Park Student Brakes Rushing Record

Adam Nunes, a running back for Buffalo South Park recently set a new record for rushing yards in a single game, reaching 593 yards. This achievement shows his talent and hard work. Adam shared that he was just focused on helping his team, and when his coach encouraged him to go for the record in the fourth quarter, the support from his teammates inspired him to push harder.
Adam began playing football at seven years old and has improved his skills on different teams, like the Raiders, Cowboys, and Ducks. As a high school student, he understands that growing up has its challenges and stresses, thus the need for hard work and a strong mindset. He is motivated by a desire to make his late sister who passed away in February of 2024 proud, which drives him in his athletic journey.
For Adam, being part of a team is a key to success. He believes that building friendships off the field helps improve performance during games. As the season goes on, he and his teammates are focusing on resilience and learning from their mistakes. Adam offers simple advice to others: “Listen to your parents, stay in school, work hard, and set goals for yourself.” His story shows that with determination and teamwork, young athletes can achieve their dreams.
