YMCA Buffalo Niagara to Help WNY Veterans With Donation Drive

YMCA Buffalo Niagara is launching a donation drive beginning Friday, May 17 to benefit Western New York veterans. The Y is looking for donations of the following hygiene products at any of its six wellness centers:

  • Deodorant

  • Nail clippers

  • Bar soap

  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

  • Socks

  • Shampoo and other care products

All donated products will go to WNY Heroes, to benefit local men and women who served in the military. This donation drive runs through Memorial Day and everyone in the community is invited to participate. Donors who wish to participate and are not YMCA members will be eligible to save $50 on a YMCA membership.

Friday, May 17 is also RED Day, which stands for Remember Everyone De ployed. On any given day, there are over 170,000 US troops deployed throughout the world. YMCA Buffalo Niagara and its community will honor their sacrifice and the families they leave behind by wearing red to sup port our military families.
