Black History Month Bus Tours
After a highly successful pilot year, bus tours will be offered every Saturday in February 2025 as part of the third annual “Together As One: The Journey Continues,” a WNY Region Wide celebration of Black History Month.

The 2025 bus tours, which kicked off February 1, featuring tours Feb 8, 15, 22 . Participants meet up at the Buffalo Museum of Science at 9:30am for check in. Tours run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Each tour explores Black history at different sites across Western New York. “Together as One: The Journey Continues” is a collaborative project launched in February of 2023 that also provides a comprehensive digital guide for discovering Black History Month exhibits and programs at cultural sites across Western New York. The idea is the brainchild of Clifford Bell, Chairman of the Buffalo African American Museum, pictured with Board Member and executive administrator Ellen Harris-Harvey) who aimed to bring the community “together as one” to observe and celebrate the contributions of African Americans.
