Fire & Flavor: November 23rd Launch of John Young’s Original Spicy Mumbo Sauce

Buffalo, NY – November 2024 – John Young’s Original, the brand behind Buffalo’s legendary Mumbo Sauce, is proud to announce the release of its second product: John Young’s Original Spicy Mumbo Sauce. The new sauce will be unveiled at a special event, Fire & Flavor , on Saturday, November 23rd, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Broadway Market, located at 999 Broadway, Buffalo, NY.

Attendees of the event will be treated to complimentary samples of the new Spicy Mumbo Sauce and can order wings made to perfection by Lina Brown Young , daughter of the late John Young and co-owner of the brand. Lina will be cooking up a fiery and flavorful storm, continuing her father’s legacy of bold, innovative flavors.

Since the original Mumbo Sauce’s launch in January, John Young’s Original has sold more than $50,000 worth of sauce, almost entirely through direct-to-consumer channels. This success has propelled the brand’s expansion into local retailers, including Price Choppers, Mandela Market, Big Bear BBQ, Dilly Dallies Spices and Sauces, and Sgt. Pepper's Hot Sauces Etc.

“This new Spicy Mumbo Sauce is a testament to my father’s love for bold flavors,” said Lina Brown Young, co-owner. “We’re thrilled to share this new creation with the community that has supported us from the start.”

Marc Moscato, co-owner, added, “The response since January has been incredible, and we’re excited to expand our lineup. This event is a celebration of growth, flavor, and the enduring legacy of John Young.”

The event at the Broadway Market promises to be a vibrant gathering, offering a taste of history and community spirit. Guests are encouraged to come early to enjoy the samples, purchase the new sauce, and experience the heart and heat behind John Young’s Original. High-quality images are available upon request.
