REMINDER: 2024 Spring Bulk Trash Collection Season Begins

City of Buffalo Department of Public Works, Parks & Streets officials issued a reminder to residents that the 2024 Spring Bulk Trash Collection will begin in the Fillmore Council District this coming Sunday, April 14th. The schedule was adjusted slightly last week as a result of the April 8th total solar eclipse. Bulk Trash Collection in the Ellicott District, which was canceled last week as a result of the eclipse, has been rescheduled to begin on Sunday, June 30th

City residents are asked to follow the posted parking regulations in their neighborhood to make sure trash collection equipment has access to the curbside piles. The 2024 READJUSTED Spring Bulk Trash Collection Schedule is as follows:

In addition, there is a new City of Buffalo Council District map in place, that took effect on January 1, 2024. Some addresses have changed to a new Council District. Bulk Trash pickup dates are by your new Council District. For more information, go to buffalony.gov.

In addition, please note:

  • Curbside bulk trash piles cannot not exceed 12 ft. long, 3 ft. wide and 3 ft. high.

  • Electronic trash, such as televisions and computers, as well as construction debris and tires, are banned from bulk trash.

The City will also hold four scheduled Tire Drop-Off Days in 2024.
