The Rev. Michael Robinson, of Delaware Avenue Baptist Church, will Officiate.

Elease McCall Jeter, the only child of Glover R. McCall and Carrie Wilson McCall, was born on March 5, 1937. Elease departed her earthly life to be with her Lord on August 23, 2024.

Elease attended Buffalo Public Schools #47, Fosdick Masten Park School, and graduated from East High School in 1955. She continued her education at Bryant and Stratton Institute with a focus on Office Management.

Elease met and dated the love of her life, Paul W. Jeter, whom she married in 1957. To that union two sons were born whom she loved dearly: Paul, Jr. “Skip” and Kirk Flemon. Elease truly loved and enjoyed her family. They worked, travelled, and prayed together. Their home was full of love, patience, and compassion.

Elease was an extraordinary homemaker, who provided everything that her family needed to succeed. Elease joined New Hope Baptist Church at an early age and served in various ministries for many years. She later joined Delaware Avenue Baptist Church where she faithfully served volunteering in the Church office, ground beautification ministry, and sang in her much-loved Senior Choir. She was a diligent worker and looked forward to celebrating The Lord in service.

Elease Jeter was blessed with many talents, but her passion was knitting afghans, which she gave lovingly to family and friends. She will be remembered for sharing her gifts of love- beautiful afghans. Preceding Elease in death is her devoted husband, Paul W Jeter, son Paul, Jr. “Skip,” parents Glover and Carrie McCall, in-laws Flemon and Inez Jeter, brother-in-law Horace Lee Jeter, niece Sheri Lynn Richards, and Goddaughter, Kim Godby-White.

Elease leaves to celebrate her memory: son, Kirk (Coleen) of Cary, North Carolina; grandchildren Ashley Jeter of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Paul W. Jeter, III (April) of Snellville, Georgia; Austin, Maya, and Miles Jeter of Cary, North Carolina; great-granddaughters Malaysia, Melody, Mariya and Mylah Jeter of Snellville, Georgia; and Leila Diallo of Spartanburg, South Carolina; sister-in-law Mildred Jeter Richards of Sandy Springs, Georgia, and Ruth (Robert) Baker of Marietta, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Glen (Valerie) of Rochester, New York; Barry Jeter (Minnie) of Buffalo, New York; Chandler Clinton (Terri) of Buffalo, New York; Mark (Lisa) Baker of Lilburn, Georgia; Robin Richards of Sandy Springs, Georgia; and Kyle Baker of Marietta, Georgia; also, Nichelle Nichols of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and a host of loving great nieces, nephews and relatives. In addition, a dear extended family friend, Amelite King of Buffalo, New York.

Elease Jeter joyfully and with love leaves her Pastor, Reverend Michael J. Robinson, First Lady Mrs. Jacqueline Robinson, and all Delaware Avenue Baptist church members; her former Pastor, Reverend Herschel Chapman and New Hope Baptist Church members.

The Thomas T. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Interment is in Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Garden of Tranquility.
