2024 Young Entrepreneur Awards Application Available
The planning committee for the Empower 716 Young Entrepreneurs of Color Awards is pleased to announce the release of the 2024 Young Entrepreneur Award Application. The Second annual awards gala being held on April 25, 2024 will recognize and celebrate young entrepreneurs of color in WNY.
The Empower716 Entrepreneurs of Color Awards honor outstanding young entrepreneurs (25 and under) in Western New York (WNY). Each honoree will receive a stipend to assist in expanding and improving their business venture. Robert Lowery of RL Experience, LLC, has partnered with True Community Development Corporation, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization to create the Empower716 Young Entrepreneur Program (YEP). Empower716 Young Entrepreneur Program (YEP) initiative recognizes, encourages, spotlights, and supports youth of color in Western New York on their entrepreneurial journey. They understand lack of resources and financial support discourages entrepreneurship for youth of color in underserved communities and our mission is to take away those hurdles.
Young Entrepreneur Eligibility Requirements:
Be Age 25 or under
Be a person of color and live within the Western New York area
Be a person of color and live within the Western New York area
Has taken steps to become an entrepreneur
Has made a significant impact on the community with regards to business success and contribution to community events.
