Buffalo Man Arraigned for Attacking Student and Elementary School Employee
Darnell L. McIntosh, 39, of Buffalo was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Kevin J. Keane on one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class “A” misdemeanor) and one count of Harassment in the Second Degree (violation).
It is alleged that on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at approximately 1:23 p.m., the defendant entered the school office inside of an elementary school on the 200 block of Lawn Avenue in the City of Buffalo. While inside of the office, the defendant allegedly pushed a school employee to the ground. It is further alleged that the defendant pushed a juvenile to the ground then punched and kicked the victim.
McIntosh is scheduled to return on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. for a pretrial conference. He was released on his own recognizance as the charges are non-qualifying offenses for bail. A temporary order of protection was issued for both victims. Judge Keane also gave a verbal order to the defendant, directing him to stay away from the elementary school.
If convicted of the highest charge, McIntosh faces a maximum sentence of up to one year in jail. As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
