NFTA to Close Out Black History Month With Performance by Yaa Asantewaa Drum and Dance Co.

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) proudly announces the culminating event of Black History Month with a dynamic performance by the renowned Yaa Asantewaa Drum and Dance Company. This electrifying showcase will celebrate the rich cultural heritage and contributions of the African diaspora through mesmerizing rhythms and captivating movements.

The event will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, at the Buffalo Transit Center, 181 Ellicott St, Buffalo.

The Yaa Asantewaa Drum and Dance Company, named after the legendary Ghanaian queen mother who led the Ashanti rebellion against British colonialism, is renowned for its vibrant performances that honor the spirit and resilience of African traditions.

The public is invited to come together to celebrate diversity, unity, and the enduring legacy of Black history. This event is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity for individuals of all backgrounds to connect, learn, and be inspired.
