Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon, BUDC and The Exchange at Beverly Gray Present the 2nd Annual Black Business Expo
The Black Business Expo is set for Thursday, February 20th at Seneca One Tower
As part of Black History Month festivities in Buffalo, Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon and the City of Buffalo Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will highlight Buffalo’s Black-owned business community at the 2nd Annual Black Business Expo. The event, held in partnership with the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC) and The Exchange at Beverly Gray Center, celebrates and promotes Black-owned businesses while providing networking opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The expo will feature Black-owned restaurants and retail vendors, giveaways from Queen City Pop Up, valuable networking opportunities, and music by DJ Tru Journey.
“Whether you are a new or established business owner, the Black Business Expo will feature top-notch resource providers and networking opportunities that will offer valuable insights and strategies for Black businesses in Buffalo,” said Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon. “Buffalo’s Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs play an important role in our city’s economic success. As part of my administration’s commitment to closing the racial wealth gap and supporting Black-owned businesses, I am pleased to present this year’s expo in partnership with the City’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC), and The Exchange at Beverly Gray Center.”
City of Buffalo Chief Diversity Officer Darren Saxon added, “The Black Business Expo is a testament to the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit within our community. It is an opportunity to not only celebrate the successes of Black-owned businesses but also to inspire and support new ventures. We are proud to stand with our partners in fostering a diverse and inclusive business landscape in Buffalo.”
The Black Business Expo will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the second floor of Seneca One Tower, located at 1 Seneca Street in downtown Buffalo.
