Food Truck Thursdays Returns to Niagara Square May 2nd

Mayor Byron W. Brown and the Buffalo Common Council today announced this year’s list of food trucks participating in Food Truck Thursdays in Niagara Square. This year, 24 participating food trucks will take part in the program.

Four new vendors, including Islands Hawaiian BBQ, Tiny Thai, Viola’s Submarines and World of Desserts, will be making their Food Truck Thursdays debut this season.

Mayor Brown said, “In partnership with the Buffalo Common Council, we look forward to welcoming Food Truck Thursdays back to Niagara Square. For almost ten years, this great, weekly event continues to offer the City and downtown workforce a diverse sampling of food options from some of the best food trucks in our community.

I want to thank this year’s participating food truck vendors for bringing the community and food together in an upbeat, fun and positive atmosphere.”

Food Truck Thursdays runs from Thursday, May 2, 2024, to Thursday, October 17th. There will be no food trucks in Niagara Square on Thursday, July 4th. Mayor Brown launched the ‘Food Truck Thursdays’ initiative in 2015 as a pilot program in an effort to provide office workers and visitors to Downtown Buffalo with additional food options. Initially, there were only 8 participating vendors during a 3-month trial. This year, 24 trucks are taking part on a rotating basis, every Thursday from May through October, creating another lively and diverse food scene in Buffalo.

The Food Truck Thursdays 2024 season will kick off Thursday, May 2nd from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Featured vendors on May 2nd include:
