Catholic Charities Now Accepting Applicants for C-Tech Training
Catholic Charities is now accepting applicants for its C-Tech, Introduction to Telecommunications, class. This 12-week, hands-on technology training program offers nationally recognized certifications in telecommunications, network cabling for copper and fiber optics and 5G systems, along with grounding and bonding.
Classes begin Sept. 23 and run Mondays through Thursdays from 5 – 8 p.m. at the New Hope Education Center at Harvest House, located at 175 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo. Deadline to enroll is Sept. 20. “With a need for qualified workers in the telecommunications and network cabling field, our C-Tech program prepares participants to enter this in-demand job market,” said Tammy Hayes, program supervisor for workforce development, Catholic Charities. “Recent graduates of the program have improved their employability by securing jobs with local telecommunications, utility, technology, and manufacturing companies.”
As part of its education and workforce training programs, Catholic Charities also offers tutoring, high school equivalency, job readiness skills, and help with entering college and vocational programs.
