Buffalo Fire Department Responds to Fire at 425 Porter Avenue
The Buffalo Fire Department responded to a fire at 425 Porter Avenue, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 8:36AM, to a four-story residential building with multiple occupants. Upon arrival, firefighters found the fire originating on the fourth floor of the structure. Crews contained the fire to the fourth floor, preventing it from spreading to other areas of the building.
The incident resulted in an estimated $25,000 in structural damage and $15,000 in damage to personal property.
As a result of the fire, several residents—some of whom face language barriers—are seeking assistance to regain access to their apartments. The Buffalo Fire Department is coordinating with city agencies to ensure residents receive the help and resources they need.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
