Early Voting Begins Next Saturday, Oct. 28
Also Deadline to Register for General Election
Commissioners Ralph M. Mohr and Jeremy J. Zellner are reminding Erie County residents that the nine-day early voting period for the Tuesday, Nov. 7 general election begins next Saturday, Oct. 28 and will continue through Sunday, Nov. 5. All of Erie County’s 38 early voting locations will be open Noon-9 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm Saturdays and Sundays. Voters may cast an early ballot at any poll site no matter where they reside. The appropriate ballot will be printed on demand.
“We have the most extensive early voting program in New York State, and it provides people with busy schedules abundant opportunity to exercise their right to vote,” Mohr said. “Early voting is one of many reforms that has made it easier for New Yorkers to access the ballot and have their voices be heard,” Zellner said.
Next Saturday is also the final day to register to vote for the general election. Residents whose forms are received at the BOE by that date will be eligible to vote the same day.
