Indie Author Day Connects Local Writers with Community
Annual event to be held Saturday, November 2
On Saturday, November 2, the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library will host its annual Indie Author Day at the Central Library’s Mason O. Damon Auditorium, 1 Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. This program is part of a nationwide effort to connect independent writers with their local libraries and writing communities. Attendees are asked to use the accessible entrance at Clinton Street.
This year’s Indie Author Day will feature speakers on topics such as developing and promoting your work, the importance of editing and the business of publishing. A panel discussion & ample networking time will also be featured as part of the event.
“Our community has a wealth of talented, independent authors. The Library is proud to welcome those, published or not, to our annual Indie Author Day event. We encourage all to attend and to learn, network, and foster a community of writers,” said Buffalo & Erie County Public Library Director John Spears.
Indie Author Day is free and open to the public, but advance registration is requested. All are welcome to attend this event. Details and registration can be found on the event webpage: https://buffalolib.libcal.com/event/13061991
