Tickets are $30, plus fees and can be purchased at themahogany.com/events. The event will also feature food for an additional cost, as well as spirits, provided by Danny Dangerous. DJ Spinback will perform.

The Mahogany opened in 2019 when family members, Khari Myers, Latrese Myers, Trina Burruss, Cedric Burruss, Kawanza Humphrey and Danielle Burruss came together with a plan to combine their respective talents to open an event space.

“Our family is blessed with many talents, from banking to marketing, photography and entrepreneurship, we truly do it all. And most importantly, we still make time for each other. So, we thought what better way to combine our expertise and love of family than to find a way for other families to come together,” said Khari Myers, president, the Mahogany Events & Gathering Space.” “Mahogany Nights is the next way we are looking to bring people together, starting with a comedy show.”

Guy Torry is a comedian, actor, producer and writer. Best known for appearances in films such as “American History X and “Life”. Torry’s career is also showcased in the Amazon Prime. docuseries, “Phat Tuesdays: The Era of Hip Hop Comedy”. The film specifically showcases Phat Tuesdays, an all-Black comedy night at Los Angeles’ “The Comedy Store.” Torry is the brainchild of Phat Tuesday, which helped launch the careers of some of the most famous Black comedians, including Chris Tucker, Dave Chappelle and more!
