South Buffalo Community Association to Host 3rd Annual Health & Wellness Fair At the Tosh Collins Community Center

On Monday, October 28th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, The South Buffalo Community Association will present its 3rd annual Health & Wellness Fair at the Tosh Collins Community Center, 35 Cazenovia Street, on Monday, October 28th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Started as a Flu shot and COVID Booster Clinic in 2021, this annual event has grown into a a major event encompassing many aspects of health and wellness for people of all ages. Some highlights of this year’s event include:

  • Flu Shots;

    • Blood Donation;

    • Blood Pressure Check;

    • Dozens of health and wellness vendors;

Two Panels Discussions focused around the topic “Who Cares for the Caretakers?”

  • 2:30 pm- 3:30 pm – Supporting the Mental Health of Caretakers

  • 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm- Self-care and Wellness for Caretakes. So much attention has been given to mental health and these panels seek to support caretakers, heads of households, public-serving professionals, and nonprofit organization leaders.

Both panels will have a number of field experts led in dynamic conversation by Melinda DuBois, Executive Director of Mental Health Advocates, and Pam Kefi, CEO of Journey’s End Refugee Services.
