National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Buffalo & Western New York
Registration is Open Now for Free 8-Week Online Family-to-Family Class on Mondays, January 27, 2025 through March 24.
NAMI Family-to-Family is a free 8-week education program for adult family, partners, friends, and significant others of adults living with mental illness. The course is designed to help family members and caregivers understand, support, and advocate for their loved one living with mental illness toward recovery, while maintaining their own well-being.
This class will meet on Zoom on Mondays, 6-8:30 pm from January 27, 2025 through March 24. Class will not be held on President's Day, February 17. Pre-registration is required. Registration closes Thursday, January 23rd. Space is limited and it is important to attend all sessions. Materials and supplies are provided.
While there is no charge to attend, donations are gratefully accepted. We will call you to complete your registration. The next in-person classes will be scheduled in the Spring.

Additional Background
This class is for adult family members and caregivers of individuals living with mental illness. The Family-to-Family class:
Is an evidence-based signature program of NAMI National.
Provides a confidential, personal setting for family members to share experience, at their own comfort level, and gain support, knowledge and insight. It’s an opportunity to meet other people in similar situations and gain support from each other.
Focuses during the first half of the course on the description, signs and symptoms of mental health conditions as well as medications and treatments. The second half focuses on how to address and cope with a loved one's mental illness.
Is taught by two leaders, trained by NAMI, who have personal experience with the challenges of caring for a loved one living with mental illness.
