Sadie Strong to Host Free Community Wellness Programs

Sadie Strong will host two free community programs focusing on health and wellness advocacy for the entire family.

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, Sadie Strong will host a free community Wellness Workshop entitled Ask the Doctor: A Community Conversation About Our Health from 6pm – 8pm at the Elim Christian Fellowship located at 70 Chalmers Avenue in Buffalo. The workshop, in partnership with the Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will be facilitated by Dr. Ramona Reynolds and feature a dynamic panel of healthcare professionals including Dr. Emmekunla Nylander, Dr. David Milling and Melissa Archer, PMHNP. The doctors will address some of the major health concerns that they are currently treating and answer some of your pressing questions about your health. The goal is to equip the community with valuable knowledge and the confidence to advocate for your health.

Sadie Strong Community Health and Wellness Expo 2024

On Saturday, October 5th Sadie Strong will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month with the 6th Annual Sadie Strong Community Health and Wellness Expo sponsored by Key Bank and Roswell Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Expo is held from 10am – 1pm at the Northland Workforce Training Center located at 683 Northland Avenue in Buffalo and will include health screenings, flu shots, HIV testing, CPR Training, fitness class, health and wellness advocacy resources and the Sadie Strong Wellness Workshop: Healthy Meal Prep in a Dash with Chef Chelsea. Sadie Strong is partnering with The Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to offer this free program to the community.
