Commissioner Otis T. Barker Celebrates 30 Years of Service.
All the best to retired Commissioner Otis T. Barker for 30 years of service to the Buffalo community. A retirement celebration was held Marth 13th at Vice restaurant. Commissioner Barker was joined by family, friends, and government officials from the four corners of Buffalo and beyond. During the celebration, Mayor Scanlon announced the basketball courts at Dr. MLK Park would be named in Commissioner Barker’s honor. Over the years Commissioner Barker held positions with form Deputy Speaker Arthur Eve, then N.Y.S. Senator Byron Brown, and later, Mayor Byron Brown.
