46-anniversary Celebration of the Eye On History
The Merriweather Library, 1324 Jefferson Ave., in the DR. Eva Doyle Auditorium was the setting for this February 8th photo.
The occasion was the 46-anniversary celebration of the Eye On History column penned by Dr. Eva Doyle. The Eye on history column is the longest running column on African American History in W.N.Y. Among the program highlights were the viewing of Real history of Haiti, written and produced by Dr. Doyle and directed by videographer and public relations specialist, Greg Barber. In addition, The Trophies for Success Program honored four outstanding students: Harmony Rae Laster, Christopher Allen Huff, Quinton Littleton, and Wayne Rhodes Carter.
City of Buffalo Comptroller Barber Mill Williams presented proclamations from her office and $50.00 to each student. Remarks were made by Buffalo School Board office members Sharon Cottman and Paulette Woods
