Viola Starling NYS Education “Stream Graphic Design Contest”

These scenes were taken February 10th at New Hope Baptist Church, 2090 Genesee St., the Rev. Herschel Chapman, Pastor. New Hope was the setting for the Viola Starling NYS Education “Stream Graphic Design Contest” presented by the NYS Ushers Association.

Stream, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, special guests were: Janice Gibbs, NYS President; Barry Ward, NYS Education Chair; Christopher Mitchell, Buffalo Education Chair; L. E. Tina Barnes, Honorary National Chair; and Allan Griffith, Sr., Education Dept.

Buffalo candidates were: Marisa Gachette, Youth Usher at New Hope Baptist Church; and Mo’Nae Hargrove, Youth Usher at Trinity Baptist Church. Marisa Gachette took first place honors and will move on to the National Competition to be held in the near future.
