City-Wide Unity: Join Us for a New Year’s Watch Night Celebration!
As the year comes to a close, Antioch Baptist Church invites the Buffalo community to join us and more than 15 area churches of all denominations for our Annual City-Wide New Year’s Watch Night Service—and the number of participating churches continues to grow! This year’s celebration promises to be a truly special service, evidenced by the overwhelming response from social media and the expanding consortium of churches coming together for this event.
Rev. Ulysees O. Wingo, Sr., Senior Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church for over eight years, has long championed unity in the Buffalo community, both in his pastoral leadership and in his former role as Vice President of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Buffalo, NY & Vicinity. Antioch’s sanctuary, a beautifully maintained testament to timeless elegance, located at 1327 Fillmore Avenue, was known for hosting city-wide events and anticipates serving as the venue for this momentous occasion again this year.
The service begins at 10:00 PM on December 31st, featuring a mass combined choir uniting voices from all participating churches, and the community, to deliver praise that will inspire, uplift, and usher in the New Year with Spirit-led worship.
Watch Night worship holds a significant place in the Black church tradition, symbolizing gratitude for God’s faithfulness over the past year and hope for His blessings in the year to come. The following churches are excited to host this year’s service:
Antioch Baptist Church
Emmanuel Temple Church of God
Evangelistic Temple
Faith Baptist
First Centennial Baptist
God’s Tabernacle of Praise

Jordan River Baptist

The Journey Church

…and more churches continue to join this dynamic fellowship!
All are welcome! Come as you are, bring your loved ones, and be part of this extraordinary moment of unity and faith. Attendees will experience the preached Word from some of Buffalo’s beloved pastors and bishops while being enveloped by the harmonious sounds of believers worshiping together, led by the Combined Choir.
