A Little Pity for Diddy

America’s latest number one menace to society and alleged sex-crazed maniac billionaire goes to rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently in federal custody and has been denied bail three times. I must have missed something that said he was charged with killing someone. Usually, the only time someone is denied bail is for a murder charge, especially when the defendant has the best lawyer money can buy and no previous criminal convictions. Somewhere I heard that in America, a person is innocent until proven guilty. This is the perfect example of that being B.S. in the American judicial system.

While I have limited empathy for Diddy, there’s something fundamentally unfair going on here. He has been tried and convicted in the court of public opinion, primarily based on the now-infamous video of him having a violent altercation with his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in the hallway of a hotel in 2016. Diddy was ultimately sued by Cassie over the incident, and the case was settled without objection for an undisclosed amount of millions of dollars.

In my opinion, the altercation was violent, but I didn’t see the brutal, savage attack many have portrayed it as. I didn’t see any punches to the face or head, and the kick was with socks on. It certainly was disturbing, but “brutal”? I think not. It must be said she stayed with him for seven more years. Just sayin’.

It seems that video is the prima facie evidence that Diddy is an out-of-control, sex-crazed menace to society, and he will probably never see the light of day for a very long time. But the world will wait with bated breath for what promises to be the trial of the century, where the Hollywood elite will have their dirty laundry exposed.

The thing is, none of this is new. The rich and famous have always had their own versions of “freak-offs.” Some may remember the famous sex publicist Hugh Hefner, who was notorious for his Hollywood parties at his L.A. Playboy mansion, where armies of scantily clad blond vixens from across the world came to party in the mansion’s notorious grotto. Hefner had three young, beautiful bunnies shacking up with him and had a television show to showcase the biggest pimp in America at the time.

There are videos of one of Hefner’s girlfriends talking about how Hefner used to hand out Quaalude pills like Tic Tacs to women at his parties and called them “leg openers.” Hefner died at 90, a very rich man, surrounded by young blond bimbos to rub his feet. Free Diddy!
