Freemasonry and Loyalty to Country (Part 2)
By Pat Freeman, The Mighty O’Ba
The mason is compelled by virtue of his raising and the charge of the Master to not be caught up in individualism. Our obligation to the country of our residence binds us to conduct and uphold its laws; the very make up of our petition for membership demands such high conduct. Our members are held to a high moral standard and in this case forces us to mobilize against its enemies. Our belief in the supreme authority of the universe demands that we put down our differences at all levels and work together in defense of the promise of America. All hostilities must be put on hold until after November 5th and the threat against democracy has been defeated at the ballot box. The power of eternal friendship binds us to work now for the greater good and put all personal grievances to the side until this immediate and inherent threat to democracy is defeated with the most powerful weapon, the right to vote.
The challenge states that no home can stand where dissension and selfishness destroy the hope of unity. No country can stand its adherents' disrespect of laws. The eyes of the world are on us. Failure is not acceptable because liberty and the Promise must prevail. Time is the one thing in life that we cannot afford to waste. Time is the one thing we cannot get back.
There is no time, and we must make sure that all eligible voters are registered now. Mobilize all capable forces to make sure all can vote, including polling shuttles that will help those get to polling places. All hostilities of any kind cease and desist until after November 5,2024.
